This is Trish’s 21th year in the real estate business, the past 15 of those years as Owner/Broker. Trish owns Prudential Community Realty which employs approximately 45 people in the Madison area with two local offices in Madison and Sun Prairie.
Prudential Community Realty is one of very few woman-owned real estate companies.
Trish is honored to be chosen the 2009 “Realtor of Distinction” by her peers at the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin.
Local Association Activity Realtors® Association of South Central WI-(RASCW):
· In early 2010, Trish initiated the “Realtors for Soldiers” program and introduced it to RASCW through the GUSTO Committee. This inspiring program is charged with raising donations/supplies for local deployed soldiers and mailing these care packages in the name of the Realtors Association of South Central WI. Trish was recently honored by the Army Corps of Engineers with an American flag that was “flown over Baghdad, Iraq in her honor” for her dedication to soldier causes.
· Trish served as an Officer of the Board of Directors for the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin (RASCW). (term 2007-2010)
· Trish served as Vice President of the Realtors Association (2008-2009).
· Trish served as Treasurer of the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin for two terms. (2007, 2008)
- In 2006, Trish was awarded the Presidential Service Award for her dedication and commitment to our local Board of Realtors, with special emphasis on her efforts within the New Member Orientation Committee.
- Trish is Chair of the GUSTO committee within the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin. (2011)
- Trish has served on the Budget Committee for RASCW. (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)
- Trish served as Chair of the Finance Committee for RASCW. (2007, 2008)
- Trish served as Chairperson for the New Membership Orientation Committee for 2003, 2004 and 2005.
- Trish serves on the RASCW Professional Standards Committee and has served as a juror on Arbitration Hearing Panels.
- Trish has served on past Recognition Committees for RASCW.
- Trish has served on the RASCW Leadership Nominating Committee, which selects nominees for Board of Director positions.
- Trish is a 2008 member of the Personnel Committee. This committee evaluates the performance of employees of the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin.
- As a Charter Member of the Madison Metro Women’s Council of Realtors® (WCR), a Society of the National Association of Realtors®, Trish is a former Chairperson for the Professional Standards Committee, as well as serving on the Membership Committee for WCR.
- Trish participated in the Governance Task Force, assisting in the re-evaluation and modernization of the Realtor Association’s local bylaws and governance structure. (2008)
- Most recently Trish was one of a select group of Realtors to participate in the full day Strategic Planning Initiative for RASCW.
- Trish is an active member of the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) for RASCW.
- Trish has shown her dedication to the real estate profession for 20 years by continually volunteering to serve on numerous RASCW ad hoc sub-committees.
State Association Activity (Wisconsin Realtors® Association):
- Trish serves on the 2011 panel of the Equal Opportunity in Housing Committee for the State of Wisconsin and the Public Policy Committee for the WRA.
- Trish has been re-appointed to the State Professional Standards Hearing Panel for the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA). (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)
- The Elected Officer Team of the WRA has again nominated Trish Baehr-Schaefer for the State Professional Standard Procedures Work Group. The Work Group develops education guidelines for state/local Professional Standards training and reviews NAR Professional Standards revisions. (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)
- 2009-2010 State Chairperson of Education and Programming for the Wisconsin Women’s Council of Realtors, an approved society of NAR.

Activity in Civic Affairs:
- Trish was honored as one of Madison Area’s “40 Under 40” by In Business Magazine in 2006. (recognizing 40 exemplary business people under the age of 40)
- Trish serves as a Local Public Official for the Dane County Parks and Grants Committee as the Realtor Appointee (appointees by County Executive). Trish is proud to have been integral in preserving more than 1,000 acres in Dane County. (2001-present)
- Trish has been named to the Greater Madison In Business Executive Register.
- Trish is a Board Member of the DCCPA (Dane County Council of Public Affairs).
- Member of the National Women’s Business Council whose objective is to bring issues of interest and activities of the NWBC to the women’s business and policy communities.
- Trish’s company is a member of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce.
- Trish’s company, Prudential Community Realty, is rated an A+ business by the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Volunteerism:
- Trish’s on-going grassroots efforts to support “Project Linus” (a national, non-profit) have so far raised nearly 1,000 handmade blankets that have been donated to local sick and/or abused children. Trish’s company, Prudential Community Realty is an approved drop location in addition to the local fire stations. Trish participates in the delivery of these blankets directly to sick and abused children at the UW Children’s Hospital in Madison. Trish has been featured in newspaper articles as well as being interviewed by local television stations for her involvement in this worthy charity.
- For many years Trish continues to sponsor the YWCA and The Third Street Women’s Shelter by annually “adopting” families for the holidays. This community outreach program helps women and their children experience the true meaning of giving during the holiday seasons.
- Trish actively supports a local effort called, Suitcases for Kids, which collects gently used suitcases, backpacks and duffel bags and delivers them to disadvantaged foster children throughout South Central Wisconsin.
- On the heels of the tragic murder of a local Realtor in early 2008, Trish formed Realtors® on Defense, a non-profit organization that provides free self-defense and “Safe Showing” classes to all members of the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin regardless of their company affiliation.
- In 2009, Trish began two soldier-help programs called Realtors for Soldiers (RealtorsforSoldiers.com) and Sun Prairie for Soldiers (SunPrairieforSoldiers.com) that collects and sends care packages to military men and women serving our country overseas.
Personal:
Trish and her husband, Patrick, have two spirited young children, a son, Burke, and daughter, Kendall. They have been active members of the Sun Prairie community for 18 years. Trish is also an active member of the Mad Wreckin’ Dolls, a Madison based Roller Derby league.
